Die Zamioculcas ist eine der pflegeleichtesten Pflanzen, die es gibt. Die beste Stelle für die Zamioculcas ist im Halbschatten bis Schatten ohne direktes Sonnenlicht. Pralle Sonne kann die Pflanze schaden und würde dazu führen, dass die Blätter braune Ränder bekommen. Eine hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit ist wichtig für die Zamioculcas, deshalb sollte sie nicht in einen Raum stehen, wo es zugig ist.
